Find your place at the Toledo Training Center by joining our five-year apprenticeship program! Harness your skills and progress in your abilities. Sheet Metal Workers Local 33 will expose you to many opportunities that will allow you to excel in your profession. The Toledo Training Center is comprised of knowledgeable professionals that are here to guide you through your practice. Surrounding yourself with people of all skill level and skill type will better your practice and improve your experience. The trade is challenging yet rewarding and can offer a sense of job security. This program will encourage you to stray from your comfort zone and accomplish new tasks that may have once been out of your capacity. Our five-year apprenticeship program includes:

We are an accredited 5 year apprenticeship training facility turning out successful journeymen and women. With daytime and evening classes available teaching various courses to ensure the success of each student enrolled in our program. Toledo Area Sheet Metal JATC training facility is a state of the art learning center containing three labs: Sheet Metal Lab, HVAC Lab and Welding Lab and classroom space.

Application Requirements

Applications are accepted at the Toledo Training Center on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • A valid driver’s license, birth certificate and high school transcripts must be submitted at the time of application.
  • $15 non-refundable application fee – cash only.
Applicants will be required to successfully complete a standardized test (independently administered), to qualify for an interview. The test is administered on a later date and the testing agency charges a $30 test fee.
